Revamped Google top menu bar?

Comments
I noticed top menu bar in Google sites (eg: Google Search, Gmail and etc.) has done some cosmetic make-ups to make it broader and bigger with a tiny color bar which shows the same color irrespective selected.

And it doesn't look nice with Gmail's theme on, unless they have highlighted it.

PSP Update

Comments
In this technological era, you've always encounter the word of 'update', friends will often asked you:

"have you updated to Windows Vista/7?"
"have you update your phone's firmware?"
"are you using the new CS4 now?"
"are playing the latest  ?"
"do know X and Y are breaking up?"

Anyways, let's focus on PSP Update, that I had done last month, its a big jump on the firmware version that is from 3.XX to 5.50, though I didn't managed to update till 6.00 which is the current release.

Full roll of the pix:

PSP's Version of BSOD

Language Selector

Traditional Theme

New Theme

Overall, I like the new theme very much just too bad the additional color options are for PSP-2000 and above (the newer generations of PSP) which can't be supported under my very original (PSP-1000). *sighs* But definitely, will find way to improve.

Another add-on which I hardly use is the PlayStation Store, I don't think I might going to purchase anything from there.. (tsk. Tsk.)

till then. until i've update to firmware 6.

P.S.: I can't myself switching the browser's theme after every 5 minutes, unlike in Firefox, Google Chrome downloads a crx extension file for the its skin.

Augmented Reality

Comments

Are you familiar with this symbol?

If yes, you have played that game before.

If no, continue reading.

Well, the word 'augment' if searched from Oxford English Dictionary means extension or increase. If you combine with the word Augmented Reality which brings the raw meaning of extended reality. Augmented reality is an interaction between the real-life object and computer generated object. For an illustration, what may appear as a red straw in real-life could be a crayon, laser-pointer or a red pen in the computer world.

Alright, enough of explanation here, I don't want go anymore in-depth to the coding part, cause it will be very technical. For those who insists here you go.

Let's try out some basic AR samples.

It will link you to GE Eco Imagination site where you can test the application have a taste of AR. Before you begin, you need:

  1. Your eyes and hands
  2. Screen
  3. Internet Access
  4. Webcam
  5. Printer OR Smartphone
Obtain this PDF file.

Either print the black and white diagram or load it to your smartphone.

Click either Launch Wind Turbine or Launch Solar Energy.

An Adobe Flash warns you about the flash will gaining access to your webcam.

Approve it.

Arm yourself with the symbol.

Enjoy.

So, what is it going to do with Assassin's Creed 2 you ask?

Amazingly, UBISOFT is quite smart in implementing it in their teaser site.

You may skip the useless trailer, click on the grey logo to access the PDF file as you did with the GE.

If you are lazy, the images are ready for you below:

Still don't get it?

*sighs*

I shall demonstrate one for you.

Have fun!~

N95 Updated

Comments
Finally I receive the v30.0.15 firmware update from the Nokia Software Update (NSU), I have been anticipated it since last May, as this updates provide lots of performance improvement for the N95, as well as update some useful application such as auto rotation.

Unfortunately Thankfully, the installation works fine after 2 panicky restart of the phone and software failure, my N95 is finally updated safely! Yipppe. For those who are unaware of the hazardous delicate procedures of self-updating cellular's firmware, any misout will bring, your phone into a deep sleep, which you need to send your dear phone to the nearest hospital.

Well, enough of crab talks, here are the screenshots.

Step One: Agree that Nokia is not liable for anything.

Step Two: Golden RULE ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR DIAMOND DATA

Step Three: Delivering chunks of update data

Step Four: Pray Hard or be Panic!

Step Five:Hallelujah

Change Log of V30.0.15 (adapted from N95 blog):

-Camera improvements.
-Automatic screen Rotation (YIPPEE!)
-Music player has some enhancements
-New integrated Google search New Maps 2.0 with faster and better maps complete with satellite images and traffic information.

From me

-16 seconds boot up (HURRAY!)

Windows Live Wave 3

Comments

Microsoft has finally unleashed its 'tsunami' of cloud computing web application today. Without further delay, I quickly login into my Live Account and I see:
If you click add images on your top right corner,
Dump all your beloved photos in,

And it becomes this.

A flashy like slideshow (i think they use javascript)

You change the theme (top wave) with 2 theme are live theme which changes according to the time (something like google theme)

Finally, Microsoft has its own online photo storage like picasa in google and flickr in yahoo. The storage space merges with your current skydrive.

Looks like they also have their own face recognition technology found in google picasa, however, my photo somehow wouldn't load (maybe they found virus on my face, I didn't know their detector is so powerful they able to detect my flu..).
Finally, the all new revamped skydrive, the sweetest thing is, the huge boost of 25GB of storage, 5x of the original storage offer. =)

That's all for now.
Got to resume my Organizational Behaviour revision.
End.
